Currently, there is a job opening for the position of: Business Analyst (US citizenship Required)Birmingham, position is responsible for participating on business improvement projects for Healthcare Business Solutions (HBS), with an end result to improve accuracy, timeliness, productivity, effectiveness, and efficiencies in operational business units. Business improvement projects might include a workflow study, cost/benefit analysis, staffing analysis, new technology, or other improvement requests. The incumbent will document business requirements, findings, and recommendations in written and/or oral reports and present to management.The ultimate goal of this position is to foster continuous improvement and operational excellence in HBS business processes by reducing re:work and increasing quality and productivity.Experience managing multiple projects with various prioritiesExperience researching and analyzing dataExperience in a position interpreting and communicating information orally and writtenExperience with various Microsoft Office Suite programsExperience developing and implementing workflow improvement methods preferredExperience in a position requiring project leadership preferredAbility to understand and interpret line of business needs and translate to business requirements is preferredA business or industrial engineering degree is preferred.Experience with Medicaid preferredMust not have worked for the Alabama Medicaid Agency within the past two years Education and ExperienceA Bachelor degree is required.
