Assists the Director of Compensation and Benefits in administering employee benefits to all eligible employees and ensuring that all personnel matters regarding employees are held in confidence by performing the following duties. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state and local tax laws and regulations as well as wage and hour laws. Ensures compliance with all internal and external compliance requirements. Continually researches and reviews regulations to identify revisions of internal standards, policies, and operating procedures, and new programs to ensure compliance. Coordinates multiple benefits audits annually.Maintains regulatory compliance and ensures that all Hibbett employees are fully informed concerning every aspect of the Hibbett Sports benefit programWhen necessary, in the absence of the Director of Compensation and Benefits, acts as company representative and the main contact regarding benefits with the above mentioned organizations.Provide Benefit and WorkerA?s Compensation monthly metrics to the Director of Compensation and Benefits to review and monitor and make recommendations as needed regarding the practices and procedures.Maintains compliance with 401(k) enrollments in conjunction with the Employment Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and informs the Director of Compensation and Benefits of any updates.Maintains compliance with the A?Health Insurance Portability and Accountability ActA? (HIPAA) and informs the Director of Compensation and Benefits of any updates.Administers the benefit enrollment process through BenefitFocus and ensures the accuracy and integrity of the data.Enters benefit:related data into the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and all related third:party carriers.While administering benefits. Ensures compliance with Federal and State laws concerning record:keeping on benefit enrollment forms and other documentation concerning benefits.Maintains reports on benefit eligibility for employees so they may be informed on entry dates for the various benefits for which they may be eligible.Produces reports on benefit enrollments, benefit deductions, and plan participation for future forecasting.Maintains and updates the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) tracking software and ensures the compliance of active employees on leave according to Federal piles data on a monthly basis on Health Insurance Premiums, Short and Long Term Disability, Life Insurance and Health Insurance Medical Claims to ensure the accuracy of premium payments.Maintains employee benefits data in automated human resources information systems.Coordinates transfer of data to external vendors, plan providers, auditors, and consultants.Prepares and submits government mandated reports.Audits benefit plans for compliance with government regulations and stays abreast of updates.Maintains knowledge of and analyzes government regulations, benefit program trends, and prevailing practices among similar organizations.Analyzes and evaluates services, coverage, and options available through insurance and investment companies to determine programs best meeting needs of organization.Assists the Director of Compensation and Benefits in the negotiation of contracts with benefit plan providers, vendors, auditors, and consultants for services, premiums, and plan administration.Recommends benefit plan changes to the Director of Compensation and Benefits and the VP of HR.Develops, recommends, and monitors budget allocations for employee benefits.Consults with managers and health care professionals to evaluate the need for, develop, and implement accommodations, return:to:work, light:duty, and other responses for disabled employees.Ensures the monthly 401k Wire transfer is completed each month and the data sent is complete and accurate for both 401k and deferred compensation plan.Administers the process of updating employee eligibility for benefits according to Health Care Reform itiates new ways to streamline daily processes usin
