Job Description:/h3:
This position REQUIRES US Citizenship.

The candidate will become a lead member of a growing dynamic information technology group of professionals focused on the development and implementation of geospatial solutions to serve the local government and state transportation (DOT) industries. Assignments will be in one or more of the following areas: web based user interface, web services, mobile and field application deployment and/or development, windows services and desktop application software development for related geospatial markets.

Under general supervision, the candidate will perform assignments of moderate to high complexity in the design, development, integration, implementation, deployment, and support of geospatial applications. The candidate will work with customers to gather detailed requirements for implementation and development tasks, write test plans and workflow training documents, and may conduct tests on new software.

Assignments require the use of independent judgment and the application of implementation best practices and
programming/software principles, theories and concepts. Contacts are primarily with immediate supervisor and other professionals in the group, but may also include interaction with personnel outside of the Company. The candidate will serve as a key member of a team of software development professionals, and will be responsible for the technical leadership of that team.

The Ideal Candidate
:The candidate should have advanced knowledge of Internet and mobile:based application software architecture and development as well as intermediate SQL experience.
:Significant experience in the use of web based development languages (.NET, Extensible JavaScript, AngularJS, PL/SQL, JavaScript, HTML) as well as GIS software usage and concepts.
:Knowledge of, or experience in, the transportation (DOT) and local government industries would also be beneficial.
:Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline with a minimum of 7 or more years of applicable experience, preferably in the development of geospatial software applications in a web and/or mobile environment.
:Masters Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline preferred.
Minimum Requirements
:The candidate should also be proficient with both written and spoken English, have a willingness to learn new technologies and be part of a growing team.
:A completed Bachelors Degree from an accredited university (ABET program accreditation preferred) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related technical field is required.
:7+ years of development experience working on complex projects.
:Experience with JavaScript (ExtJS) and C in a Microsoft Visual Studio environment
:Strong background in object:oriented programming (OOP) and the software development life cycle (SDLC)
:Expertise with the following technologies: HTTP, WCF, ASP.NET Web API, XML, JSON, PL/SQL
:Familiarity with the OpenLayers JavaScript mapping framework is a plus
:Sound problem solving and critical thinking skills
:Ability to lead a team of software development professionals in the attainment of common goals and objectives.
