Job Description ProctorU is looking for a Software Integration Engineer with emphasis on educational web applications, infrastructure, and business process to join our development team. The Engineering & Design team gets to innovate and experiment daily with some of the latest technologies in our industry for a product that is paving the way in our space. You must be passionate about problem solving and have an innate understanding of the major learning managements systems, ProctorU products, user work-flows and how they all might work together. Next, you must possess strong communication skills and be able to perform workflow discovery and be able to articulate potential implementation methods to end-users or external customers. Also, the ideal candidate will be very detailed oriented and documentation driven as you will work closely with Project Managers, Sales Executives, Product Managers and fellow Software Engineers. Lastly, you must be able to implement your solution regardless of the programming language (mainly Java, PHP, Ruby, JS, Python). The Role: * Writing robust, secure and maintainable code * Displays the ability to ship few bugs to production. * Capable of taking significant features from concept to production. * Understands the full vision of the product to account for all use-cases and user-flows when implementing a feature, task, or bug. * Skill at articulating complex implementation to non-technical personnel. * Strictly adheres to project deadlines. * Ability to accurately estimate tasks. * Willingness to continue to grow, learn and maintain skill and proficiency. * Keeping up-to-date on all the major learning management systems and their capabilities * Keeping up-to-date on all ProctorU products and features * Provide technical support for implemented integrations * Create professional documentation for internal and external use * Define system specifications, and user-flow processes * Assist clients to test integrated features * Assisting Sales Executives with technical questions and concerns * Keeping up-to-date on major competitor integration offerings Qualifications: * Minimum of 2 years professional experience as a Software Engineer * Professional software development proficiency in at least 2 of the following languages (Java, Ruby, PHP, Python) * Strong proficiency and experience with JavaScript, CSS3, and HTML5 * Willingness to learn any languages necessary to implement an integration solution * Adequate knowledge of web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services and Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols * Interest in all aspects of software engineering and integration best practices * Proficiency with code versioning tools * Understanding of layout aesthetics (UI/UX) * TDD * Team player * Excellent analytical and multitasking skills * Agile / SCRUM familiarity * Strong communication and documentation skills * Focused attention to detail "Hoo" We Are.
