The LAN/WAN/Desktop Technician provides support to company computer systems and users by performing installs, diagnoses, repairs, maintenance, and upgrades to desktop personal computers, laptops, mobile devices, related peripherals and telephony. The support includes installs, software troubleshooting, and application support. This position provides front:line support and hands:on resolution of technical issues, completes technical requests, performs needs assessments, evaluates solutions, and provides end:user instructional assistance. This individual also performs a variety of technical and administrative duties relative to assigned areas of responsibility.Provide support, troubleshooting, and set:up of connectivity between and within systems, components and applications, document work activities in a ticketing systemInstall and test OS, software and security patches/upgrades : configuration, diagnosis, analysis of network security, auditing, authenticationCentralized management of environment : policies, system configurationManagement of hardware devices and drivers (storage, printers, scanners)Insure reliability and availability : fault tolerance, load balancingPurchasing and provisioning user technologyBachelors degree preferred; two or more years related experience and/or training in IT network operations support; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
