Chief Software Engineer Posted On: 8-12-2017 Department: IT Industry: Insurance: Life, Health and Disability Location: Birmingham, AL Job Type: Direct-Hire Pay Rate: Up to ? 100.000.120.000,00 per year, DOE In this job, here are some of the duties to be performed: ITAC has teamed up with a leading insurance client to find the BEST software engineers in the business. The Chief Software Engineer researches, designs, develops, tests, and maintains applications. The Chief Software Engineer will collaborate with technical architects and business units to definite premium business solutions. The Chief Software Engineer will spearhead strategic, long-term projects and the development of system components. The Chief Software Engineer will employ their proven understanding of software applications and infrastructure architecture to design and develop complex software applications and model relational databases. Education: Masters (Preferred) To be considered for this job, candidates may be required to have the following skills and experience: -Experience with Java, J2EE, JavaScript, Spring, C#, C/C++, Hibernate, Tibco (AMX, BW, BE), Webservices, Subversion, Jenkins, Oracle11g, SQL, iPlanet, HTML, CSS, XML, JSON. -Masters degree and 3 years of experience preferred. Bachelors and 5 years of experience may be considered. -Knowledge of Object Oriented Concepts and Software Development Life Cycle. -Experience with various tools and frameworks such as Eclipse, Struts, JSF, Grails, and Foundations. -Experience in application development with ability to work independently and lead teams. -Knowledge of policies, agents, claims, products, operations, finance, and marketing/sales highly desirable.
