Accounts Payable Supervisor

The Accounts Payable Supervisor will be responsible for all aspects of managing the processes related to vendor payments. The position provides direct support for hiring, training and supervising of the Accounts Payable staff and ensuring the timely and accurate
processing of vendor invoices and payments.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
+ Direct the AP team and will coordinate and manage workflow, review work, assist with problem resolution, provide feedback and coaching based on performance assessment while effectively managing multiple priorities.
+ Approval of journal entries, account reconciliations and month end closing deadlines.
+ Manage the reconciliation of A/P accounts to ensure proper balancing between sub-ledger and general ledger.
+ Maintain and review accounts payable aging analysis.
+ Monitor vendor statements for unpaid invoices and open credits.
+ Prepare reports and sub-schedules for other departments as needed.
+ Handle escalated vendor calls.
+ Manage the 1099 process and distribute annually.
+ Maintains effective communications with vendors and internal customers through timely and accurate payment and correspondence.

Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring,ensuring adequate coverage, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
+ Responsible for ensuring that the department provides error-free work to all internal and external customers.
+ Conduct performance and salary reviews for all employees supervised.
Required Skills and Abilities:
+ Conversational English
+ Concentration and productivity in high pressure situations
+ Above average knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping concepts
+ College diploma or equivalent
+ Minimum of 5 years experience in an accounts payable or equivalent environment; in lieu of direct experience have obtained a bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
+ Office equipment & software: Must be able to use current ERP system and any additional third-party software; operate 10 key desk calculator; familiar with personal computers, and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of software applications or equivalent.
+ Special Skills (above average skill required): organization, problem solving, interdepartmental coordination, judgment and decision-making coping with difficulties and emergencies.Desirable Skills and Abilities:
+ Supervisory experience, ideally in an accounts payable environment
+ JD Edwards/One World proficiency
+ EPICOR proficiency
+ Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
