Learn more below.Function:Perform various work assignments related to the investment portfolio and derivative instruments. Conducts moderately complex accounting practices and procedures. Brings inconsistencies and problems to the attention of management. Responsible for the maintenance of accurate accounting records and producing reports for management. Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:Maintain adequate accounting for various functions such as cash from banks, investment securities, advances, derivatives, market:link CDs, broker CDs, and other funding productsPrepare financial documentation and reports required by the company, its external auditors, the Federal Reserve, the SEC, or other regulatory authorities.Maintain and reconcile general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounts in comparison with internal bond accounting and derivative accounting software.Develop and maintain automated accounting systems and procedures through the extensive use of Excel, VBA, Monarch, TM1 and Adobe AcrobatMaintain large volumes of spreadsheet data and formulas with minimal supervisionComply with established internal policies, procedures, and controlsAssist with monitoring, implementing, and documenting accounting policies and procedures related to ASC 815, ASC 320, and all other applicable guidance related to investment and derivative accounting (trading and hedging)Assist with special accounting projects related to new regulations, products, policies, standards, etc.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance Required; Graduate degree preferredCPA certification or equivalent hours to sit for CPA examinationStrong computer skills including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint). Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Data Mining Software (Monarch), TM1, and Visual Basics (VBA) is desiredMust be able to work independently and as a team as the job demandsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProactive in solving problems
